Tibor Victor Hugo Kovács (1996) is a German sound artist and composer. After completing his studies and gaining professional experience in the field of economics at LMU Munich, he decided to dedicate himself to continuous creative exploration and artistic expression—particularly sound.
Since 2022, he has been studying composition under Prof. Achim Bornhöft at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, with a focus on electroacoustic music, performance, and interdisciplinary projects. His art is deeply influenced by his meditation practice, which shapes his perception of movement and time. This perspective permeates his works, where small details are magnified, and broader concepts are condensed. Rather than adhering to rigid ideas, he allows the natural flow of music to emerge, considering each work a unique reflection of the moment in which it is created.
In addition to his studies, he has participated in masterclasses and workshops with renowned composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Alexander Schubert, Klaus Lang, Nik Bärtsch, and Georgia Koumará. His interest in diverse forms of artistic expression has led him to interdisciplinary projects in theater and dance, as well as collaborations with musicians, painters, architects, and designers. He is also active in various ensembles for electronic music performances.
His works have been presented and performed at festivals across Europe, including the Limina Festival, the Salzburg Festival, Divertimentos Rondò 2024, the EXPO Anton Bruckner, and others.
